The Chicago Film Critics have announced the nominees for their '08 Awards, and Charlie's up for one.

Synecdoche, N.Y. --Charlie Kaufman
WALL*E--Andrew Stanton & Jim Reardon 

No recognition for Synecdoche, New York in any other category. *sigh* Our buddy Tram points out that  Roger Ebert and Michael Phillips, two of Synecdoche's big supporters, are Chicago boys.

Remember when Eternal Sunshine was nominated by film critics in about 11 billion cities? Yeah. Probably not gonna happen for Synecdoche; way too polarising.
