I never got to study cool movies in high school

Got an email today and maybe you guyses and girlses can help, because a lot of you are damned smart:

I am an Australian student undertaking yr 12, and my final schooling year exam - the Higher School Certificate. This shapes my university entrance options for next year!! The modules we study must include an area of study on "The Imaginative Journey". I am to express how this is conveyed, and the protagonist's outcomes from this imaginative journey. For this I have chosen 'Adaptation', along with other, related texts.

I was wondering if you could tell me of any specific cinematic techniques that highlight the transformation from reality into fantasy and the imagination. How the imagination has changed 'Charlie' through the course of the journey.

ps. Brief is fine, I don't want to take up too much of your time.

I did the HSC. It was damned hard, and bloody stressful. So whaddaya say? Help an Aussie sister out, hey? My mind only stretches so far when it comes to analysing stuff. Email me yer thoughts if you have the inclination, and I'll pass them along. Every little bit helps. And if you can remember any relevant articles I've posted too, that'd be neat. The Poland one was good.
