(Reminder) Want to help kickstart a new feature-length film by a friend of BCK's?

[Just re-posting this update, as there are a mere 24 hours remaining if you want to help out Chris... so if you've been wondering whether to chip in a dime or two, now's your last chance!]

I've mentioned Christopher Good before -- he's a long-time pal of BCK's and a terrifically talented up-and-coming film-maker. Frankly, his talent makes me sick.

Chris is about to embark on his first feature-length film, the absurdist comedy Mudjackin', and he is using the excellent Kickstarter program ("the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world") to raise funds for the film. If you have a buck to spare, you might consider donating it to the cause: Chris is going places, and when he's famous you can factor in inflation, hit him up for serious cash a few years from now, and call it even. SOLID INVESTMENT PLAN, PEOPLE. Plus, donors receive some cool merchandise in return.

In Mudjackin', Dustin and Travis are best friends who share a mudjacking business, a rap-metal band, and a pact to make the upcoming summer the summer of their lives. Soon, though, their livelihoods are threatened by a newly-arrived team of rival mudjackers, their hopes of winning a local battle of the bands undermined by a maddeningly glib Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band, and their dreams of an idyllic summer shattered by the emergence of a bizarre murder mystery. Mudjackin' is a freewheeling absurdist comedy set in the Ozarks of Missouri and shot in the Ozarks and Kansas City, Missouri.

If you like Charlie's work (and I'm guessing you do, just a stab in the dark), you'll probably dig Chris' stuff. His short films tend to be a little oddball, a little melancholy, and very funny.
