The "funeral speech," near the end of Synecdoche, has been singled out by more than one reviewer as a highlight of the film. It was written on the fly, only a day or two before the scene was filmed. Scott has emailed me with a fairly urgent request for a copy of that speech... he'd like to borrow parts of it for a eulogy. If anyone can come through with the goods, that'd be great.
Plus, I wouldn't mind reading the damned thing myself.
