Every year, US film critic Roger Ebert holds his own film festival in Illinois. This year it's in April -- probably it's always in April, actually -- and we all know what Ebert named as his Film of the Decade. (Hint: it sounds a little like Tonsilectomy, Boo Fork, and stars Philip Seymour Hoffman as a playwright.) So -- you didn't hear this from me -- there's a better-than-good chance he'll be screening it at the fest. And -- you didn't hear this from me, either -- there's a chance Someone will be there. Nudge nudge. You know. Someone. Possibly on April 23 -- but you didn't hear that from me.
The bad news it, the official site says this year's Fest is sold out. Phooey.
Edit: Quoting Laurel's comment, if perchance you haven't clicked beyond the front page or you're reading this as a feed:
Passes for the whole fest are sold out, but tickets for individual films go on sale April 5. And sometimes additional tickets can be had at the box office 30 minutes before the screening time. SO! if you're local to Champaign, IL, don't give up hope. I'm afraid it's too big a commute for me (from CA) but isn't there SOMEone here who can report on it?
