From Brian comes word that Spike was at the UC Berkeley a couple of Wednesdays ago, as part of a series on directors.

He mentioned Charlie a little bit. He admitted that they talk on the phone for a few hours almost every day and started laughing about how they're like, "teenage girls", which made me then laugh like a teenager imagining Spike absentmindedly wrapping a phone cord around his little finger while Charlie gushed about his newest crush. Spike then apologized and said that he wasn't trying to offend anyone in the audience who had once been a teenage girl and liked talking on the phone a lot, but that's just what ended up happening.

As far as the untitled horror project goes, Spike said that that he doesn't know many details about it, and that Charlie's still writing it. He did note that it would be a horror film, though it wouldn't use the same techniques as normal horror films, but didn't elaborate any more.
