Just a super-quickie from Variety, who report that shooting will commence on Synecdoche this week. Spike Jonze made the announcement alongside "indie veteran Bingham Ray, making his Cannes debut as president of Sidney Kimmel Distribution."

And an IMDB.com boardster says: "There are signs posted in Bayside, NY on 35th Avenue off Bell Boulevard that shooting for "Synec Doche" will take place starting Monday, May 21, 2007 and lasting until Thursday, May 24, 2007. Bayside is located in Northern Queens close to the Nassau County border."

Ordinarily I take everything on the IMDB boards with a bucketful of salt and an anti-hyperbole shot ("He's the BEST!" "This movie IS THE WORST"), but this sounds pretty solid, no?
