Some thoughts on the June '07 draft of the Synecdoche script. It was written in random spare moments, so it may ramble in places; I'll edit it a bit later on. If you missed the review of the first draft, you should probably check that out first. Cliff's Notes version of the new draft: it's just as long but flows more smoothly, so it doesn't seem quite as long. The middle section of the script has been fleshed out a bit, particularly with regards to the lead character's relationship dramas. It's funnier than I remembered it, but it's still a very dark piece of work, and will probably attain a cult following - a smaller following than Eternal, Malkovich or Adaptation, but larger than Human Nature and Confessions.
