Vanity Fair have posted a great interview with Charlie, covering some territory that we haven't seen before. Makes a nice change from some of the same-same Synecdoche Q&A's that have been popping up.

Do you remember if your teacher praised it?
I don't remember if she did, but I knew that I did it for her, because I had an enormous love for this teacher. She was the first person I was going to marry.

What was her name?
Her name was Sheila Goldberg.

Was it because of her teaching or was she a beauty?
I thought she was beautiful, but it's because I felt like she loved me. I think that's what it was. I thought she wanted to marry me, too. I started out being interested in acting, and she's definitely the person who got me interested in that stuff and brought that whole thing into my life. She was just a really great teacher. (Source)
