Further to yesterday's news, here's a public service announcement on behalf of Brad Pitt, via an email from Christopher, who saw Pitt on the Charlie Rose show. Apparently Pitt was there not long after Kaufman's appearance (PItt was spruiking Troy), and brought up how much he loved Adaptation. Says Christopher:
Brad brought up how much he loved Adaptation and was proclaiming
it was such honesty, and it was the sign of new things, or something of
that nature. Charlie Rose excitedly informed him that they just had
Charlie Kaufman on not too long ago, and Brad said he didn't know that.
They had a little talk about him for that moment, and Brad kept saying
how much he loved Charlie's stuff, and he said something about how he'd
like to work with Kaufman and, “I suppose then, that's me putting my
card on the table.” Then Rose was impressed for a moment at the gesture,
and they moved on.
So there ya go, Charlie. The Pittster wants a gig in one of your flicks. Maybe he could star alongside David Coulier and John Stamos in your upcoming horror movie.
