Charlie and two bastards deserve Oscars, says Tribune

Why 'Sideways,' 'Sunshine' deserve Oscars for writing. You can skip the first few paragraphs, which are about THE BASTARDS. Needless to add, Michael Wilmington has good things to say about the Eternal screenplay, too. And Charlie will no doubt be pleased that he's considered "one of a handful of young American screenwriters who have established an innovative style and a unique viewpoint." Good point raised, too, which may have an impact on You Say Potato 2005: Michel Gondry and Pierre Bismuth are nominated with Charlie. So if the trio wins, it might be Michel who gives the speech. Hopefully that "Shut the hell up, please don't thank the guy you passed on the street in 1978" music won't kick in before Charlie hits the mike.
