The International Cinema Society held their awards thingo a couple of days ago, and Eternal Sunshine featured in a big way. Michel Gondry took out Best Director, Jim Carrey tied with Jeff Bridges (The Door in the Floor) for Best Actor, Kate Winslet snagged Best Actress, and the guy who has his sexy rock 'n' roll head at the top of this site won Best Screenplay. IN YOUR FACE, Sideways, which took out nothing except #8 in the Top 10 films of '04. (At this point I should note that I haven't actually seen Sideways. I'm just IN YOUR FACING it out of pro-Charlie principle.) Eternal Sunshine ranked #2, behind Richard Linklater's Before Sunset. Thanks to clemato (Kate the Great), who found the info at Oscar Watch. Meanwhile, Eternal's up for Best Foreign Film in the Cesar Cinema Awards in France.
