Ask me how hot it was here yesterday. Go on, ask. VERY GODDAMN, that's how hot it was. 44 degrees C. Which, for those of you yet to convert to metric, is 111F. GREAT MOTHER OF GANDHI.
Anyway, some cool stuff for you guys today.
First up, Blempho-O! Gymnasium. I could leave it at that, but I suppose I ought to explain. Paul Proch's official site is now online, and Blemph-O is its name-o. If you're new to BCK (what took you so long?), you may not know that Paul is a long-time friend of Charlie's who, among other things, did much of the artwork that appears in Eternal Sunshine. (Check the Bio page, this article and this site for more info.)
So anyway. Blemph-O. There you can find a bunch of Paul's art, some of it from Eternal Sunshine, and much of it for sale. It's nearly Christmas, you know. You can also find some cool Eternal tidbits, like production memoes and whatnot. And be sure to check out the candid photo of Paul and Charlie, circa '87. Blemph-O is a work in progress, ergo some of the links aren't yet functional and there's a bunch of stuff yet to be added. So check back soon. I'll probably remind you repeatedly. And I don't know what kind of water Paul and Charlie drink, but clearly there's something next to H2O in it.
And the other thing for today: the People's Choice Awards. Eternal Sunshine is up for two - Best On-Screen Chemistry (Jim & Kate) and... Best Motion Picture. wOOt. It's up against Shrek 2, Spider-Man 2, The Incredibles and Fahrenheit 9/11. If you happen to be a People, you can go vote here. Your country needs you.
Righto, it's the wee hours of Thursday so I'm off to dream about ice cubes. Naked, dancing ice cubes.
