BCKster catches Eternal screener!

Hey, you crazy kids. It's almost midnight here, but I just received a cool email and thought I'd better update about it pronto. I'm dead tired so I won't try to paraphrase, I'll just paste the mail. One of my growing collection of anonymous sources, whom we shall call Chicken Legs Montgomery, has this to say:

I'm in New York and last night I saw a screener of Eternal Sunshine. (Credits, music were not yet finished) I thought it was fantastic - no complaints, here. The story and dialogue are very clever. The acting is great and the parts are all well-cast. The group that I was with all agreed with me. But, the people sitting around us were not quite as pleased with the film. I don't think a lot of people understood the sequencing of the story and were left confused about when and how Joel and Clementine had met/chronology of their relationship. If you have any questions about this close to final cut or want more specific info, I'm happy to answer.

Cool, no? Makes me wonder even more why the release date's been pushed back. I'd imagined there was a lot of post-prod work to be done. I'm not surprised the sequencing throws some people for a loop - I had to read the 1st draft of the script twice before I totally got it - but that's no major drama. People have the same problem with Memento and anything by Lynch. Annnnnnyways, before I reply to Monty, if perchance you have any questions you think I ought to ask, send them in. But do it today.

I really need to re-locate to the USA. Or Argentina.
