How many times have you said to yourself, "I would like to go through life, viewing myself in the 3rd person"? At least a dozen times, I'm sure. Well, NOW YOU CAN, thanks to a handy instructional article.

The whole idea is to view ourselves live in 3rd person. A camera will be mounted to ourselves looking at us from behind. A video goggle setup will then allow us to only see ourselves in 3rd person.

We will explore how to make a setup like this for relatively cheap. We'll look at other permutations, such as transmitting the data, using the setup in paintball with a marker mounted camera, and so on. (Source)

AWESOME. If I had the time, the money, a more exciting life, the time, and the money, I would definitely build this gear. It would pull in the women, I tell you. And it would provide some incredible footage of me getting hit by a bus while watching myself.
