Our friend Carl has been spreading the Word of Charlie among the academic masses, walking the Earth much like that guy from Kung Fu, but with less Kung Fu and more lecturing about Charlie Kaufman's work. Carl presented another paper on Charlie at Brunel University's 3rd Annual Researching the Arts conference two weeks back. The paper went well, but most people were annoyed that I hadn't brought scissors for them to make the mask there and then. I figured that a) they would probably cut themselves and sue me, and b) given that the paper was delivered in London, I had visions of the end of V for Vendetta, with 1000 Kaufmans stalking in the shadows of Parliament.
