December 18, 2001 - seven years ago today - I uploaded BCK's first pages to a tiny, free Tripod hosting account. I figured I would get bored within a few months and move onto other things. This did not happen, and I am still here. You should all be grateful that I have no life.
December 18 is a lousy day to celebrate the anniversary of a website. Nobody surfs the internet in the week leading up to Christmas. (BCK didn't actually enter the search engines until January/February, though, so maybe we'll have another little party then.)
ANYWAY. Thanks to all who visit BCK, and/or those who've sent in news/trivia/art etc. or have helped in other ways. Thanks also to the folks who drop me a note just to say Howdy. Without your feedback and info, I would get bored in a hurry - plus I wouldn't have the patience, these days, to single-handedly trawl the web for all the latest Kaufman news. I ain't as young as I used to be.
I was going to end this post with a short list of highlights in BCK's history, but the list started to look a little indulgent. If you're interested, the About the Site page is always there.
And I really can't stress how cool you guys are. Your contributions and emails never cease to amaze me or brighten my day.
Aaawww.
