Box Office Prophets held their 4th annual Calvin Awards and Eternal did big business. Awards for the film itself, Charlie, Michel, Kate, the entire cast as a whole, and the "Meet me in Montauk" scene.
Similar news from the First Annual Smoppies. Charlie and Michel won for Best Screenplay, Valdís Óskarsdóttir deserved her Best Editing gong, "Best Dramatic Elements or Scenes in a Film" (the goodbye-at-the-beach-house scene - one vote ahead of Dogville's finale), Best Collaborative Pair (Kaufman/Gondry), Best Smart Film and Best Film. It tied with Kill Bil Vol. 2 as the most-awarded flick. At the same site, one of their film critics sums up the year in film with a Top 10 countdown, among other things. Eternal clocked in at #2, behind The Passion of the Christ.
Thanks to the great clemato, who coincidentally runs Kate the Great.
